You care deeply—and that’s beautiful. But compassion can become a heavy burden when you carry it without rest or boundaries.
Galatians 6:9 says: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
This verse doesn’t mean you won’t get tired. It means your care matters—and God honors it. Even when the people you serve can’t say thank you, even when the days blur together, even when you wonder if it’s making a difference. It is. And God sees you.
Reflection Prompt
What would it look like to receive care yourself today—from God, from others, or even from rest?
Guided Prayer: When You’re Emotionally Drained
Estimated Time: 2 minutes
God, my heart feels heavy. I’ve been giving and giving, and I’m running low.
Help me step back when I need to. Help me remember that I’m not the Savior—you are. Remind me that it’s okay to rest, okay to ask for help, okay to feel what I feel.
Renew my compassion without letting it consume me. Amen.
