Trusting God Through the Unknown

Devotional Reading

Estimated Time: 3–4 minutes

When you’re facing a diagnosis, waiting on test results, or starting treatment, the unknown can feel louder than God’s voice. Fear fills in the blanks with “what ifs,” and your mind runs ahead to places you haven’t even been.

But Psalm 32:8 reminds us:
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”

God doesn’t promise we’ll always see the full path—but He does promise to walk it with us. His guidance is often quiet and gentle, not loud and obvious. But it’s steady. And it’s personal. You don’t need all the answers today. You need just enough light for this step—and trust that God’s hand is in yours.

Reflection Prompt

Where are you craving clarity right now? How might God be asking you to trust instead?

Guided Prayer: When You Don’t Know What’s Next

Estimated Time: 2 minutes

God, the unknown feels overwhelming. I don’t know what’s ahead, and I’m scared. I want to trust You, but it’s hard to let go of control.

Help me take this one step at a time. Calm my thoughts. Anchor my heart. Show me how to trust You even when I can’t see what’s coming.

Remind me that You are already in tomorrow—and You’ll walk with me through every moment until I get there. Amen.
